Actuaries can work in a wide range of industries. Many of them have jobs in finance, investment and risk management. Read the stories of 15 actuaries, how they began in the actuarial profession, their career history, how they transitioned to other careers, and more.

Write “Career models” in the search box at the top right coner of the page to find the stories.

If you prefer to start by exploring the questions “What does an actuary do?” and “Why become an actuary?” click on the “Becoming an actuary” tab and select a topic from the menu on the left.

Or try seeing the world through the eyes of an actuary by playing the “Interactive world of risk” game.
